ReplyDelete2. This means to me that I shouldn't sit around and wait anymore. Its time to take action and chase my dreams. I don't need to rely on luck anymore.
3. The quote and the video both share similarities and differences. The quote is similar because they both talk about how you shouldn't rely on luck. They are also similar because they say that you should work hard for things to happen. The quote and the video differ because the video features "E.T" telling you to do a 21 day challenge. They also differ because the video puts more detail to the meaning of not relying on luck.
4. The concept of not relying on luck could apply into my life in some ways. I don't rely on luck that much, unless its a raffle or lottery. Luck only makes you lazy.
Luck makes you lazy because you constantly just wait for something to happen. Instead of working hard for something, people just go on "auto-pilot" and wait for something to happen without putting effort. I work and do things whenever I want something or positive results.
Many people aren't successful because they rely on luck rather than working for it. But I'm not one of those people, and I will work for whatever I want. Again, luck only makes you lazy.

I say this because you most likely will do well on something when you put a lot of work and effort into it.

You shouldn't be waiting for it because there is greatness in you. To me it means that i have to stop slacking off or blaming my mistakes on my not being lucky, and instead take responsibility for my actions.

You cant live your whole life blaming your luck for not having a good day or not getting a job, or something along those lines. Because if you really want to succeed in life and get ahead, you have to put forward your best efforts. Being lucky has nothing to do with how you go on in life. Its the effort you put forward that determines how far you'll go. It matters because many people decide to give up and don't want to blame themselves for it, which in the end does not help them because they do not grow as a person.
You can apply this to your daily life by putting forward your best effort, trying hard, and not giving up when things seem difficult. Because we need to be able to accept that sometimes we make mistakes, but that doesn't mean that we can blame our errors on misfortune. By applying this to your daily life you'll be able to reach better things, achieve goals, and go places through your hard work. We have to learn to do things ourselves and take responsibility for things ourselves instead of blaming our luck. And vise versa, you cant be accepted into a great college and thank your luck, because in reality it was you who was able to make all of those goals happen.
To conclude, you cant use luck as a platform whenever you don't have any explanation for your actions. Because if you really wanted to get somewhere in life where others wanted to be you, you would work hard to make your own luck. Living and thinking that luck is what makes you successful or a failure is not a good lifestyle. You have to take things into your hands and make sure you get somewhere great in life, and make sure you didn't depend on luck to achieve those things. Because in reality it was your hard efforts and motivation that got you somewhere great. Luck isn't a reliable source, but hard work is.

1) The given quote by Thomas Jefferson is saying that he believes in luck. He thinks that the more he works, the more luck he will get.
2) Based on my experience this quote means that if you work hard, good things will happen. Karma for example. If you do good, you get good. If you do bad, you get bad.
3) The given quote and the E.T video are similar because both talk about luck. They are also similar because both have to do with the outcome of hard work. E.t says that if you work hard for your dreams, doors will open and good things will come to you. Thomas Jefferson says that the harder he works, the more luck he gets. The video and the quote are different because the quote is about the luck coming from hard work. In the video, E.T says there is no luck all comes from your hard work and attitude and overall outlook on the situation.
5) The quote and video matter because it shows that luck just depends on the situation. Just like E.T says, it is all about your attitude and outlook on your situation. And like Thomas Jefferson says, the harder you work, the more "luck" can come your way. What I think he means by luck is opportunity and door that will open. The harder you work, and the greater of an attitude you have. The closer you will be to accomplishing your goal and being successful.
I can apply this to my life in many different ways. The first way is by changing my attitude and out look. I can do this by looking at the glass half full instead of half empty. In the video, E.T said, "There is no progress with struggle." Working toward my goals will not be easy. But in the end, it will be worth it. So, I have to change my attitude and know that the journey to my goal or success will be hard and I will struggle. But I know that this is just a little pain now, and the prize will be worth the struggle.

In school, I have to keep on completing all of my assignments and to stay on track of what's to come. Even if I end up tired, I have to do it in order to be successful and to end up where I want to be.

2. Based upon my experience I've actually gotten luck for my hard work . I studied for many hours , and my good luck was getting good grades and a gpa. To me good luck is a reward , a reward of the work you have done to have a successful life.

It also talks about that its one think to talk about your dreams and the other is doing it. 1. To summarize Thomas Jefferson's quote, he is saying that luck is only given to you when you work hard. By that I mean in order to be lucky you must put effort into what you want. Once you put effort into what you want luck will come to you because you worked for it you didn't wait for it.
2. Based upon my experiences,the meaning of this quote is that once you put your full on effort into something you will eventually feel lucky because everything will come together. Also, luck isn't something that's handed to you it's something that comes to you when you start to progress. All in all, it's not about the luck it's about the effort.
4. The video and quote have many similarities but they also differ at some point. To begin, one of the similarities is that they both talk about putting in effort and becoming successful. They also speak about how putting in effort gets you a better chance at being lucky. They differ because the video says that it isn't all about the luck but about the effort. But on the other hand the quote talks about how hard work helps you become lucky.

5. To mean lucky shouldn't be a concept to be put in a human's life. Lucky is fake just like a leprechaun. If you succeed in some way it wasn't luck it was the effort that you put in it that made you progress. To me lucky isn't luck, it is the effort you have put in your mental physical training. For example if somebody is chasing you and you get away it isn't lucky it is the effort that you have put in your running and the ability to work under stress.
Lucky is not useful it just makes you weaker. Some people think that they'll get something and they will have luck so they just wondering around doing something else instead of training. I recently saw in the news that some Pilots are using autopilot. It also said that the pilots are losing their abilities to fly because they are not using hands on. So they just make successful flight and say that they've made another flight.
In their records it reports additional flying hours. When actually they are decreasing because they are losing there habits of what to do and what to do before a flight. Just like physical training some people think that because they are in their same form they are strong. Externally they could be strong but internally they could be weaker than a person who is externally weak. For you to maintain your form or your abilities you must train or work every time. That's why many people are not progressing because they think that they are strong but deep inside of them they are weak. In other words lucky means lazy.

ReplyDelete2.In my experience, i know that everything goes good for me if i work hard enough for it. I end up feeling lucky. In reality it's because i worked for the good outcome.

ReplyDeleteBased upon my experience this quot is so true. When people work hard and get the results that they wanted they believe that luck had so much to do with it when in fact it was all them. When you work hard its the constant working and gaining knowledge that helps you. And when the final oppertunity comes you fly through it like thin air.
The similarities the quot and video shared was that they both talked about working hard and to push yourself. Some of the differences they had was that one talked about more about luck the other talked more about the physical or mental part. either way they both or separate wanted to motivate you to work for what you want.
I can apply this to my life by believing more that i can do something instead of doubting myself. I can do this by when i have a test i can tell myself that i can instead of i cant and stop syking myself out of it. To remind myself that i worked hard and studied and i can pass with flying colors. Or when i have to accomplish something physical and its going to be challenging i have to stop doubting myself that i cant do it just because im a bit more bigger than everyone else. Another way of applying this quot to my life is to keep working hard. When ever im doing good i tend to lay back a bit and let things sort of flow because i have a cushion. And i need to stop doing that because that safety cushion is not always going to be there and i cant always be dependent on it. So that why oi need to work harder for i wont always have to rely on that safety cushion. Thats another way of using this quot to better my life.

Hoq they differ is that the quote talks about if you work hard and put effort into things you will get more and more luck , and the video is saying that luck is not excistant its the prize to working hard and putting effort into things.
