POST #24 - MY PERFECT LIFE GUIDELINES
MY PERFECT LIFE
FINAL PROJECT GUIDELINES
· Project must be done as a Google Document & Presentation.
· Essay must be typed in MLA format (5+ paragraphs, 12 font, times new roman)
· Students must utilize the following websites to complete project:
o carmax.com
o realtor.com
o salary.com
o cheapcaribbean.com
o collegeboard.org or direct university/college website. Example (ucla.edu)
· Project must be 8-12 slides that contain both pictures and bullet-pointed information. (refer to classroom & blog example)
· Project must include a budget for both your future home and car.
o They must also be realistic and within the price range afforded by your perfect job.
o PAY ATTENTION TO FINANCIAL DETAILS!!
· Email or Share your completed project and essay TOGETHER- to me by 11:59pm 12/14/2016
· Email all projects and essays to nunleyd@cvuhsd.org. If this project is emailed to another email address it DOES NOT COUNT!
Slide guidelines:
· **College: Fun facts, dorm info, population, majors offered, school mascot, sports, fraternities/sorority, etc. (2-3 Slides)
· House: Create a budget: Cost, monthly payment #bedrooms & bathrooms, square footage (2-3 Slides)
· Car: Create a budget: Cost, monthly payment, specs, etc. (2-3 Slides)
· Vacation: Create a budget: Cost, flight, food and drinks, shopping, etc. (2-3 Slides)
· Salary: Job Description and salary details: range of pay, education level required, etc. (2-3 Slides)
Essay guidelines:
If you could design your perfect life, what would it consist of?
What kind of home would you have? Describe in detail.
What kind of car would you drive? Describe in detail.
What kind of career/job do you want? What level of education is required for this career? How much does it pay?
Would you like to be married or have a family? What will it take for you to be happy with the life you have created for yourself?

POST #22 - DIGITAL LITERACY CERTIFICATION
Good morning Scholars,
I hope this finds you all in good spirits and health. As we
finish up November, and head into the last month of the semester, I want to
help us get refocused so we can finish strong!
This week we be completing our (7) Everfi.com modules to
earn our Digital Literacy Certification!!
Digital Literacy Certification is mandatory for all Centinela Valley
students.
Once completed, I will allow students to use the rest of
this week to make up any missing work before the conclusion of the
semester. That includes missing blogs

I hope this finds you all in good sprits and health. This week we are going to work on building "Our Perfect House." We will be working with Google Slides and realtor.com. ALL of the houses we will be using will come from realtor.com.
As we focus on the work, I want you to continue to think about the person you are evolving into, the life you want to create for yourself in the future, and the type of leader you are becoming. Continue to focus on creating a life you will be proud of now and in the future.
Please continue to make up missing assignments. We are getting close, but the game isn't over yet.

Using Google
Presentation, create a profile of the candidate that incorporates all of
the information from questions 1-‐7 above along with at least 1-3 pictures
of the candidate.
o Your
presentation should have 5-10 slides.

Organize
the information so students can easily read about the candidate and understand what
sets him/her apart from others who are campaigning to become the next president.
·
At the
bottom of the presentation, be sure to note when this candidate entered the presidential
race.

Create
a “My Point of View on the Presidential Candidate” as a Google Document and write 2‐3 paragraphs to address the following questions:
