  4. How are the video and the quote similar?  How do they differ? (3-5 sentences)
  5.  Ultimately, why does this matter and how can you apply the concepts to your life to make it better? (2-3 paragraphs)

  1. 1. I think that this quote means that fear is what stops what we want to do and what we think. It makes us feel indecisive and it makes us not do what we want. Over the years, there's been geniuses that procrastinate all the time instead of failing. Fear minimizes confidence and makes you feel unsure about yourself or something.

    2. Based off of my experience, this quote to me means that fear stops you from making decisions. It happens to me all the time. It is true that it leaves you in a state of indecisiveness. Fear can even lower your self esteem.

    3. The video and quote share its similarities and differences. Both are similar because they both talk about the topic of fear and what it can do if you don't put your fears aside. Doing so can lead up to the best decision you have made in your life. Both the video and quote are different because the video gave more information about the topic of fear. It talks about what will happen if your fears stopped you from trying.

    4. The topic of fear matters in many ways. One reason why it matters is because your fears cannot get the best in you. What I mean by that is that fear stops you from making a decision or choice. We should not let ourselves. Instead we should die trying to get what we want in life.

I can apply this to my life in many ways. One way I can apply this is so that it can help me gain confidence in order to do what I want. Fear shouldn't get the best in me I have to overpower it. I have to either cope with it or overcome it. Doing that will make me stop worrying and just do it.

Another way i can apply this to my life is so I can stop being lazy. Fear is not the only thing that is bringing you down from success. It's just being plain lazy. You have to know what is not important, less important, important, and an emergency. So you have to make emergencies so that you can stop being lazy. In conclusion, the topic of fear matters a lot and it can do fundamental things in life if you conquer it.

1.) - The quote is basically saying that fear affects the things we do and the things we think. If we fear it, then we get indecisive. And when we get indecisive, we end up not doing the things we initially wanted to do because we were afraid of doing it.

2.) - Based upon my experience, this means that we shouldn’t let fear get to us. Fear messes up our minds. Like the great Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” We must take back control because if we are afraid of doing it, then we will end up not doing at all, and we will miss opportunities.

    3.) - ( VIDEO )

4.) - They are VERY similar in many ways. They both talk about fear and how fear holds us back from doing great things. The lesson is: Don’t let fear stop you. If you are afraid to do something, at least die trying to do it. You can be afraid, but at least try to overcome the fear. Once you do, you will grow stronger.

5.) - You can apply this to yourself to become stronger. Fear wants to scare us and it wants to weaken us. It enjoys watching us suffer. But if you’re strong, and you show fear that you’re not afraid, you struck their weakness. Fear is more of an obstacle. You either get through that obstacle, or you stare at it and end up walking away, not trying to overcome it.

When you’re afraid, you end up overthinking things. Making up theories or thinking of negative outcomes and etc. And in the end, you end up not doing it because you were so busy being in fear and thinking of nonsense. That’s what fear can do to us. What if you let fear stop you? You will miss out on opportunities and you will regret having fear stopping you.

Once you’ve taken control of yourself and your life, you can then overcome fear. It can be difficult, of course. But what’s not difficult in life. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. It will be hard, but you have got to be strong and get through it. Fear will mess you up and it’s your job to not let that happen.

  3. 1) Fear is an action that is in all of us. If we don't take risks in life we'll never sucess in the future.
    2) The quote have an important meaning in life. You must take risk in life to sucess. Don't let fear stop you in life.
    3) The note/video
    4) Both the video and the quote have an important meaning. Both explain take some risk in life. Don't let fear control your life.
    5) The quote have a special meaning in life. You wouldn't let fear control your life. If you take some risk in life, you might be rewarded. You need to take some opportunity in life.
You can also apply this in your life. Don't let fear stop you from making your dream come true. Take some risk in life like learning new things you never did. Also don't let an opportunity slide from you in life. That how you can apply the quote in life.

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1) In short, this quote is about fear preventing us from doing great things. Fear puts you in a state of mind that prevents you from making clear decisions.

    2) Based upon my understanding, this quote means to not allow fear to contol you. Fear makes us question and re-think so much to the point of being in a deep state of confusion. Fear prevents us from making choices because we're scared of doing something unpredictable.

    4) To begin with, the video and quote are similar because they both discuss fear and it's negative outcomes. However, the video and quote differ because one elaborates more than the other. Charles Stanley's quote only addresses fear as an issue. The video talks about that as well but also further explains on how to solve this problem and get you where you need to be in life.

    5) I can apply this to my life and make it better by not overthinking things so much. Whenever I have to make a difficult decision, I tend to worry about the potential consequences and how it can affect those around me. I think about this so much to the point of not even doing anything after convincing myself that it was a wise choice to not do something. This typically results in me not taking advantage of the variety of opportunities in my life. Later on, I revisit these times in my life and regret not doing a lot of things.

Whenever I get introduced to new things, I should refrain from over thinking to the max. I should instead think about how this could benefit me and not think of thousands of ways it could go wrong. I should do this when I meet new people or get introduced to them. I get really scared mentally when I meet new people because I feel very self-concious. I worry about whether or not I'll appeal to them. I worry about if it's even worth me talking to them.

I should start talking to more people because some of them could become very helpful in the future. I shouldn't be scared of talking to other people and should just do it. Another thing I should stop being fearful of is doing newe things. Sometimes I'll do new things for fun and I'll start off fine until I think that somethings going wrong and I'll just give up. I need to stop being fearful and should learn to be more direct with myself to become successful in the future.

    1. In my own words, Charles Stanley's quote is saying that fear overpowers both our thoughts and actions. This quote is also saying that he's seen to many people give up and not try only to have later realized that they might've had a chance at succeeding.
    2. Based upon my experiences, this quote means to me that fear has the power to affect both our ideas and actions. Fear also eliminates our chances of taking opportunities. But we let it take over us by constantly overthinking and being critic upon our self's.
    3. (Video)
    4. The video and quote are similar because they both at some point speak about being indecisive. Also, they both speak about fear. By that, I mean they talk about it stopping us from reaching our goals. The video and quote differ at some point because the quote just tells us how having fear affects us. But the video gives us ways to not give up and ways to help let fear go.
    5. Ultimately, both the video and quote matter because they let us comprehend how fear controls us. But not only do they do that they also give us examples of how it affects and controls us. The video motivates us into taking risks and risking failure with at least a try. While the quote, just speaks about fear impacting our lives.
I can apply the concepts to my life to make it better by taking risks, doing things on my own, and by not letting fear stop me. These concepts will help me gain a better life because even if I know i'm going to fail, I'll fail knowing I did something other then failing and knowing I didn't even try. Doing things myself will help me as a person because I'd learn how to work on my own. The most important one not letting fear stop me will take time to process, but time is everything and I will have enough courage one day to achieve my goals without having fear in the way.

  6. 1) In summary, the quote is about fear and procrastination. How those things both result in lost opportunities and wasted time.

    2) Based upon my experience this quote to me means you need to take chances. You have to take these big life risks in order to know if you are capable. You have to be willing to risk and let the fear of failing hold you back.

    4) The video and the quote are similar because both have to do with fear. In the video by E.T, he says that you can't let the fear of failure hold you back from your dreams. In the quote by Charles Stanley he in summary says that you cant let the fear of failure hold you back from your dreams. The video is different from the quote because in the video, E.T mainly talks about how fear itself will stop you from all things successful. He said in one part of the video that, "What is on the other side of fear is greater than what you were afraid of." In the quote by Charles Stanley, he talks about fear and procrastination and overall being afraid to take risks will result in a downward spiral of your success.

    5) This quote and video matter because they teach you that you have to take risks. Not only to become successful, but in your every day lives as well. Both the video and the quote state that you need to stop being scared and just do it. If you never take the risk, you will never know the outcome. You could have missed your biggest opportunity to get the job or go to the school of your dream, or get the girl or guy of your dreams. Just because you fail, it does not mean that you are a failure, you need to get up and try again until you become the person you want to be.
I can apply theses ideas to my life by just doing it. By not thinking of what other will think of me. Or thinking, "Well what if I fail?" "What if I get embarrassed?" Instead of thinking those negative thoughts, I can just take the risk and hope for the best. Yes I might fail a few times. Yes, I might get embarrassed. Yes I might want to quit and give up. But at the end of the day, I will be glad that I took the risk because if I would not have, what if that would have been my chance. I would have never known because I was scared of, "What If." No longer will I be scared and say, "What If?" I will now be encouraged and say, "Lets try this."

  7. 1. The quote basically said that fear is the origin, or cause of failure. The quote explained how one thing ca lead to another, which by the end will result in you being pushed towards a downward spiral. Meaning things will start to get more difficult and you'll be in a bad place mentally.

    2. Based upon my experience this means that you can't let fear control what you do and what you don't do in life. Fear controls us in a way that we wont do or attempt to do something because we fear failure in that. Therefore if we want to overcome those fears we have to be willing to take those risks.

4.The video and quote are similar in the aspect that both talk about how fear can stop us from reaching our goals or dreams. The quote explained how if you never risk failure, you'll procrastinate indefinitely and you wont get things done, no matter how smart you are. The video also said that fear controls what we do, and if we are not willing to go past that boundary, we wont get much done in life. However the video and quote also differ because the quote just states what fear can do to us and what can result if you don't try to overcome it. Meanwhile the video goes more in depth about fear than the quote does by giving examples and elaborating on the effects of fear.

5.This matters because it shows to us how much fear controls us. It explains how we should be willing to take risks once in a while if we want to reach higher goals and take opportunities. The video and quote both have equal importance because they show and explain to us how we are so easily influenced by fear to the point that we basically let it run our lives, important decisions and opportunities. Fear affects how far we go in life. If we decide to overcome it, we'll be able to accomplish things that we wouldn't normally have done.

I can apply these concepts to my life and make it better by not letting fear get in get the way of what I want to do. I can take some risks, even if there's a slight chance I might fail, because in the end i'll still be making progress. Instead of not trying at all and procrastinating or giving up chances. I can give everything a chance instead of not trying it at all because of fear, and not let fear stop me from achieving certain goals. I can try to overcome my fears and even though I may still have some doubts, I'll try to do my best to do and experience new things.

    1. To me the quote means that don't let fear overcome your opportunities that are given to you. For example, your dream school offers you a scholar ship and you pass that up because a certain person is gonna go aswell, if you end up not going because of someone you just ruined your life at being successful.

    2. Based upon my experience the quote to me means that people don't want to risk what they have already for something better. They don't want to risk at all incause of fear , scared of what going to happen. They loose their opportunity that come to them incause of fear, fear takes over.

    4. The quote and the video are similar in many ways because they both talk about not letting fear overcome your great opportunities that are given to you. The video says to not let fear keep you from trying or taking risk, and the quote says that people are not taking there chances and not taking there chances to have a successful life they are the same bacause the video says to take the risk and the video says that fear overtakes them just take the risk and see what happens. The quote and the video differ from each other because the video Is mostly talking about that you have to try you can't just die trying and the video is mostly talking about fear overcoming people.

    5. The quote and the video matters because you can apply the message to your own life. You can apply the messages to yourself to make you stronger beacause you have to remind yourself that you can't keep everything to your self in fear, take a risk. Take a chance and not hold back don't let fear overcome you. You can also apply it to your life by believing in yourself , your capabale of anything you but your mindset towards to.
I can make my life better by not letting fear overcome myself. Since I'm a shy person I need to make friends , positive friends that will cheer me on in my future and help me. I can't let shyness and fear take over mylife because if it does come to that point I won't get anywhere in life and be successful as the way I want to be for myself.
I am not going to sit around and be lazy, wich won't get me anywhere. I'm going to do something for myself and for my life so I can be a step closer to a successful life. You cant wait and do nothing and expect it to come to you, chase after what you want. You don't need nobody to be somebody

  9. 1. Fear messes up our actions, it creates confusion in which results in no growth. Even talented people stop doing things for a period of time because they believe in the risks or failures that can happen. People lose opportunities in which then they asked themselves what had happend if

    2. To me this means that there are two sides. The side that has fear is the one you should feel most proud of. You must pay a price and that price is courage.

    4. The video explains how to be on the other side of fear. The video also tell you that no matter what nothing should stop you. You should be responsible and give it your fullest potential before dying. The quote explains what fear can cause and in what way it can harm people. The only thing fear will lead to is negativity because you can even be put in a worse situation that how you were at first.

    5. This matters in many ways and it could also be applied in many ways. Fear is just your dark shadow that doesn't let you progress. It can also hold you back from anything in your life. You must overcome your fears to make progress. Or maybe you will just be an ordinary person instead of extraordinary for the rest of your life.

I can apply this into my life in many ways. I can't allow fear to take over me. Instead of having fear I should have more confidence and believe more in myself. I just stopped thinking on what my risks can be. Most likely if I'm going to do something it's because I need it and I most likely not going to have nothing to lose.

I must take control over myself and not let fear get in to me. I must overcome fears and instead of fear beating me I should beat fear. It is most likely not going to be easy, but if I have douts thats a sign that it is not easy. Once I accomplish my goal im going to feel proud because I over came my fear. For example let's say you are scared to go to the soccer game because it is a hard team and you're scared. What if there is a recruiter and you score three goals in that game and you get recruited and then become the best soccer player. You would never know because you never played or you never went to the game.

  11. 1.This quote means that opportunities only once and you can't have a second chance. Also, it explains to not be afraid to take the opportunities and to be the best you can.

2.In my experience I think the meaning of this quote is not to let your fear stop you from being successful. Also, don't be scared to fail once because it will help get back up and never fail again. This is what I think this quote means by my experience.

4.The video and quote are similar because they both describe that fear is no excuse on not trying to be successful. Also, That opportunities only comes once and you have to take advantage of it. The difference is that the video said is to not be lazy and not put the effort into your work. Another difference is that the quote explains how is to think before you act before you do the wrong or right thing. These are the similar and differences between the video and the quote.

    5. This matters because it gives me the confidence to do my best to get great grades and push myself to the limit to have good grades. Also, it shows me that being afraid can't stop me from being successful and having the grades I want. Then, it shows me that you always have to at least try before you say you can't do it. Finally, it matters because it shows me that I have to think if I want to do the right thing to do do my work and get good grades or fail. These are the reasons why this quote matters.

I can apply these concepts to my life to make it better by pushing myself not to be lazy and doing my work. Then, to not be afraid to fail once but be successful the next time and never fail again. Also, this can make my life better my doing all my work. Also, to never give up no matter what even if I think I can't do it.

Examples to describe this quote and video are to never give up and work harder. Another example is to study harder and don't be afraid to retake a test if you need or want to get a better grade than the one you got before. A final example is to take advantage of opportunities that comes to you do no give it up. These are examples that describe the meaning of the quote and video.

  12. 1.) Fear stops you on what you are doing and loses things you can do in life.

2.) This means to not let fear stop what you are doing. People lost a lot of opportunities because of their fears.

4.) The video and quote are similar because they both talk about fear and how people lost those opportunities because of their fears. The difference is that the video was giving examples on fear and how you can change that. The quote was telling us how a lot of people couldn't get what they want because of their fears and how it can end our actions and thinking.

5.) This matters because you can't let fear get in your way. I can apply concepts to my life to make it better by believing in myself and to not let fear tell me what to do. There are some things in life that can be important. You need the people by your-side to help you. If your family can do it, you can do it.

You can't let fear stop you anymore. You can't have days off. Don't do things that are not important. People can't risk fear. Do not lose your confidence.

  14. 1. This quote is stating that in life our fear might because to give up before we even try. The fear that we have makes us indecisive and cause to go nowhere. It causes us to take our time and not do it at all rather than risking failures. Lost opportunities that we lost cause our downfall.
    2. Based on my experience this means that the fear that I have will cause me to lose site of what you have to do instead it makes you have negative thoughts. It makes not take any risk at all makes you stay in the safe zone. We miss out on opportunities because of our fear, the fear that we are going to fail and so we decide not to do it. We decide to give it up instead of trying and taking the risk. We rather stay safe than risk the chances of failing, instead of trying out new stuff, going to new places we choose to stay in same place that we are used. Because of that we miss on lots of stuff that the world has to offer.
    3. Notes
    4. The video and the quote are similar because they both talk about fear. The are different because the quote talks about what fear does to our thinking and our action. The video talks about why you are afraid and things that you can do to take control over fear. An example is that the quote states that fear creates indecisiveness that results in us not doing anything at all. And the video states that if you are going to fail you should at least die trying.
    5. This matters because we need to take some kind of risks in our lives. We won't get anywhere always playing safe. To get what we want we have work hard and make up emergencies to get you out of being lazy. Responsibilities can cause you to buckle up and that's why you need to be responsible of your own actions. I can apply this concepts in my life to make it better by not letting fear stop me. I have to be willing to do whatever it takes to make my dream come true. I have to make sure that I don't let fear take over.

  16. 1. To summarize the quote I would say that it is about how people give up on something because they are afraid to fail. This quote is saying that people overthink things so much that in the end they don't do because of their fear of failure.

    2. Based on my experience this means that you put something off because you're not sure about it. You keep putting that something off and end up not doing it at all. It means that you're thinking about something so much and then become indecisive about whether you should do it and then end up missing that opportunities.

    4. The quote and video are similar because they both talk about fear. They are also similar because they both talk about how fear makes you overthink. They are different because the quote talks about how fear takes over and the video talks about how courage is when you can make those decisions despite your fears. They are also different because the video talks about how you need to keep going that you when you die on your time on earth you knew that you gave it your all. In the quote it talks about people giving up because they thought about the negative outcomes too much.

    5. This matters because you need to have courage and not let your fears take over. This matters because you need to keep working hard and being optimistic. This matters because you need to make things ergent so that you can get to it as soon as possible. This matters because you need to not let the negative outcomes affect the way you work for it. This matters because you need to know that there are always going to be obstacles but, you can't let them get in your way.

This matters because you need to be focused on your goal not what could happen. This matters because you need to know that if you keep pushing and keep going you're going to stumble into greatness. I can apply this to my life by not letting my fear take over. I can apply this to my life by being aware of what could happen if I keep going. I can also apply this to my life by looking on the bright side more than on the possibly of failure.

I can apply this to my life by knowing that if I do make the decision to keep going I will die knowing that I tried my hardest. I can apply this to my life by making everything ergent so that I can get it as soon as possible. I can apply it by knowing that their is greatness on the other side of my fear. That if I think about the positive outcomes I will make the decision to keep trying. Lastly, I can apply this to my life if I keep trying and to be optimistic of the future.

  17. 1.Fear stops us from thinking and acting.Even the most intelligent people are affected by this they rather procrastinate then accepting failure.

2.Based on my understanding this means that fear is something that everyone gets. And procrastination affects everyone even talented people go through procrastination then risking failure. Also lost opportunities can lower your confidence and you feel like you already failed.

4.The video and quote shows it's similarities because they talk about the same concept. They both talked about fears stopping you from thinking and acting. The difference is the quote talked about how fear makes you undecided on what to do. And how fear affects you by making you lose confidence. In the video the difference is E.T talks how not having fear stopping him and how he gets criticize because he accomplished his goal of getting a PHD.

5.This matters to me because like the video explained I shouldn't have fear stopping me.I can apply this to my life by facing my fear.Since fear is just an obstacle and it's just another challenge. I should defeat that challenge and accomplish my main objective. Which is to reach my goal.

The quote also matters to me because I shouldn't let fear stop me from thinking and acting. Because it will affect my progress on my goal. I can apply this quote to my life by not letting fear comsume me.Also to start acting to reach my goal. And start thinking ways to start accomplishing it.

Both the video and quote matter to my life.Since both teach me that fear stops people from doing something to achieve their goals. It's stops them from thinking and acting. Both are vital for achieving a goal. And that I shouldn't let fear take control of me.

  18. This quot is about how fear can effect us in many ways. And how we must thrive above it.
Based upon my experience fear does take effect when we have something big we need to do but we fear that we might mess up or that we will get rejected. And its such a big problem because a lot of people let fear get the best of them and they end up backing away from something that could have changed their only because of fear took over them. And only those lucky or should i say those strong few make through fear and rise to be who they want to be and not let fear dictate their lives.
The similarities that the quot and the video have is that they both speak about people being soft and letting the world bring them down and how we need to rise above all others. The difference that they have is that one talks about the physical or mental the other talks more about fear itself. But the overal basices is to modivate you to conquer fear and the world and to be yourself no matter how scared you are.

  19. 1. In my own words, the quote says that fear can get in the way of you being successful. That some people don't want to fail so badly that they don't even give a try.

    2. Based on my experience this means that even if you think you are going to fail  try anyways. Once I didn't want to play Mario Kart because I thought I would lose. But I tried and actually won. So even if you think you are going to fail try anyways.

    4. The video and quote are similar because they both say that you need to put your fears aside and at least attempt to to try it. The video said to die trying. The quote said that Fear stifles are actions.

    5. This matters because it will help you to not care about failure. Even if the chance of failure is high, you will still try to attempt it. It helps you not to worry about your fears. And you will try many things that you would have otherwise never tried.

I can apply these concepts to my life to make it better by not thinking about failure when I try things. I will do it with effort and not let my fears control me. I won't think about how people would judge me I would just do it. As long as I'm having fun I won't be embarrassed.
